Pest Prevention Tips for Food Establishments

It is crucial that you take steps to prevent pests from invading your work environment  You must be vigilant about cleanliness in any food area. 

 Clean high-volume areas daily

 Clean up spills immediately

  Keep food area clean of all crumbs or dropped food

  Do not let trash accumulate, take out continuosly throughout the day.  Close trash cans tightly.

  Keep storage areas and basements well ventilated and dry.

  Check for rodent droppings which can  indicate a rodent problem

   Keep food sealed and stored properly

  Keep doors closed as often as possible this will prevent unwanted pest from sneaking in

  Caulk all openings around windows and doors
